A Modern, Low-Maintenance Garden for Relaxing and Entertaining
Porcelain Paving, Zoned Layout and Raised Oak Sleeper Planter
Project Vision
Having recently purchased their property, Harry wanted to transform a compact outdoor space into a modern, low-maintenance garden designed for both relaxation and entertaining.
The brief was to create a seamless transition from the lounge through the bi-fold doors, extending the feeling of indoor living into the garden. With limited space, the challenge lay in zoning the area to create visual interest rather than one uniform surface.
What We Did
We worked closely with Harry throughout the design process, refining several concepts before arriving at the final scheme. The finished design features an elegant border of off-white porcelain paving, with a herringbone pattern at the centre to break up the material and add character. To introduce height and texture, we installed an L-shaped raised oak sleeper planter, planted with hydrangea, red chilli plants and Chamaerops humilis. The result is a dynamic, contemporary garden with colour, structure and year-round appeal.
