Marcus sought to transform his garden by establishing a brand-new perimeter that would deliver increased privacy, improve security, clearly define boundaries, and enhance the future saleability of his property. In addition to this, he wished to rejuvenate the property’s entrance with rustic steps inspired by fond memories of his time in New Zealand. A newly installed Venetian battened fence was specified to provide additional privacy for two front rooms of the house.
Given the garden’s exposed location and the need for durability, concrete posts were selected for their superior strength and longevity. These were paired with a classic morticed arris rail and close board feather edge finish, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and structural integrity. The project was completed by crafting rustic sleeper steps, infilled with shingle, providing an inviting entryway that leads away from the steep driveway. The area was finalised with a step-up Venetian fence that follows the driveway, adding privacy and a visually appealing patterned softwood feature to the front of the house.
